Spongeorama Sponge Factory - Field Trip with GGM

Today, we had a field trip to the Spongeorama Sponge Factory in Tarpon Springs, FL. It was pretty cool - they showed a video of how sponges are brought to the surface from under the water. They mentioned the different kinds of sponges found in the ocean and how to properly cut them off, so as not to kill them - they regenerate.
